Bhilwara: School bus overturns, many children injured

Jaipur: A school bus carrying children overturned in Bhilwara on Tuesday, leaving several students injured. There were no reports of loss of life and the children got away with minor injuries. According to preliminary reports, the bus was carrying students of Vivekanand Modern School.
The mishap occurred as the driver of the bus was overspeeding, according to preliminary reports. It suddenly overturned, jolting more than 20 students travelling in it.
Some passers-by informed the police following which a rescue team was immediately rushed to the spot. The students were admitted to a hospital in Kotadi.
“We are investigating as to what caused the mishap. Most students have been discharged after primary treatment,” said a police officer.
Some eye-witnesses told the police that the bus suddenly lost balance and overturned. Ambulances were rushed to the spot. Children were pulled out and rushed to hospital.
The parents made frantic enquiries about the accident.
