Jaipur: The city police has exposed yet another honey-trap case. The police arrested a woman after she was caught red-handed taking Rs 1 lakh from a branch manager of Punjab National Bank. The accused woman had shot a video of the manager in a compromising situation in a hotel room where she invited the victim on the pretext of investment in the banking sector. Police officials said that the woman has been arrested for blackmailing people in Delhi and Alwar in the past too.
The woman, identified as Seema Sharma alias Sapna, is a resident of Bharatpur. She called the manager to a hotel where she secretly shot a video of him in a compromising situation. The manager received a call from here a few days later. She threatened to make the video public and lodge a case of rape if he didn’t pay her Rs 20 lakh. The manager then approached the police.
The manger agreed to pay her Rs 1 lakh as the first installment and pay the remaining amount in a few days. The woman agreed and called him to a place near Hanuman Dhaba in Rajapark.
When the manager was handing over the money to her, the police arrested her.
“The woman has been arrested a few times by Delhi and Alwar police in the past too. She would make such videos and then attempt to blackmail people. Further investigation is going on,” said a police officer.
