Bharatpur hit-and-run case: Bride’s uncle arrested for killing six persons in accident

Jaipur: Two days after six persons on a morning walk were mowed down by an overspeeding car in Kumher town of Bhartapur district, the police have arrested the car driver and booked him for culpable homicide. the car the accused man identified as Parashuram Meena was driving was a wedding gift to his niece. He drove the car out of the wedding venue after seven rounds of fire and mowed down six men.
Parashuram is a resident of Khedali area. The wedding rituals were being performed in Kumher. The car gifted to the bribe by her family members was parked at the wedding venue. Parashuram has reportedly told the police that he had drove the car out of the wedding venue and was on his way to pick some relatives when he accidently mowed down some people doing yoga on the roadside.
He told the police that he had been buy with wedding preparations and couldn’t sleep properly for two days. When he was driving, some youths suddenly came in front of the car and in order to avoid the mishap he lost balance and mowed down the people. Six persons were killed.
However, police officials said that Parashuram was driving at a speed of almost 95 km per hour.
The accused was arrested and booked under relevant sections of IPC. Further investigation is going on.
