Jaipur: The Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested Kaman SHO Rakesh Yadav and a middleman after he was allegedly caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 40,000. An ACB team lead by Alok Singhal laid the trap. The SHO was demanding the bribe to release a truck seized by Kaman police.

According to senior ACB officials, the complainant approached the ACB when Rakesh Yadav demanded a bribe of Rs 1.25 lakh from him.

After registering the complaint, ACB verified it.

“A middleman – Tinku Yadav – had taken Rs 30,000 from our complainant. He was arrested when he was taking the second installment of Rs 40,000 on Tuesday,” said an ACB officer.

Both Rakesh Yadav and his middleman were arrested and booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

An ACB team was carrying out searches at the SHO’s residence and other places belonging to him until the report last came in.
