Badi Chaupar – Chandpole Jaipur Metro trial run begins

Jaipur: A team of Metro Rail security commissioner has started the trial run for Jaipur Metro on the newly developed stretch between Badi Chaupar and Chandpole. Headed by the security commissioner, the team comprises of seven people. The team had arrived in Jaipur on Monday. The trial run will continue for two days during which security standards will be examined.

The trial began from Badi Chaupar on Tuesday. Coronavirus scare was quite evident during the trial run as only a limited number of people were allowed. All the people were screened and their body temperature was examined before being allowed entry.

The Jaipur Metro trains between Mansarovar and Chandpole weren’t operational throughout the day on Tuesday as the security team examined various security standards on the entire stretch of Jaipur Metro – from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar. The last Metro train left Mansarovar metro station at 1.20 pm.

The Metro is currently running between Mansarovar and Chandpole. The extension work was inaugurated in October 2013. The work was to be completed by December, 2018, but it got delayed. The JMRC missed the second deadline also which was September 2019.

Once Jaipur Metro administration gets a go-ahead from the security commissioner office, the people will be able to take a Metro train from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar.
