Army commando Mukut Bihari Meena martyred in Kashmir to be cremated today

Jaipur: The body of army commando Mukutbihari Meena will arrive at his native village – Ladania near Khanpur in Jhalawar district – on Friday. The body will be cremated with full army honors in presence of senior politicians, police and administration officers. Hundreds of villagers are at the martyr’s house in the village, mourning his death.

Mukut Bihari Meena was martyred in a terror attack at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. His body was being brought to his village till the reports last came in. A pall of gloom descended in the village after people came to know about his death.

“Mukut Bihari had called up his brother Shambhu Dayal Meena on Monday and told him excitedly that he would come to the village on Rakshabandhan,” said a relative.

Mukut Bihari is survived by his daughter and wife. “His last visit was two months ago. He had come to exclusively see his daughter Aaru. He was with his family members the whole time. He could be seen with his daughter in his lap all the time,” said the relative.

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and many other senior politicians grieved the death of Mukutbihari Meena.
