Another Kota coaching student found dead in Chambal River, suicide suspected

Even two days after the dead body of a 16-year-old coaching student identified as Siddharth Paul, an IIT aspirant, was found floating in Chambal River near Devpura area of Kota on Tuesday, the police have not been able to find out the reason.

Jaipur: Even two days after the dead body of a 16-year-old coaching student identified as Siddharth Paul, an IIT aspirant, was found floating in Chambal River near Devpura area of Kota on Tuesday, the police have not been able to find out the reason.

The police have not ruled out the possibility that the student committed suicide.

Local residents saw his dead body floating in the canal on Tuesday and informed the police. Police rushed to the spot and fished the body out of water.

The deceased was identified as Siddharth Paul (16), a resident of Dhanbad in Jharkhand. His father Pawanchandra Paul was informed after the body was put in the mortuary of a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The boy was currently studying at Resonance Coaching Centre in Kota and preparing for IIT Entrance exam.

Police also did not rule out the possibility of accident or foul play.

Police are recording statements of family members, coaching students, teachers, and friends of Siddharth in Kota.

As per preliminary reports, the deceased Siddharth had not been attending coaching classes for the past few days.

According to his friends, something was probably bothering him.

The police are investigating the matter and said that the statement of her friends, teachers and hostel mates will be recorded to know as to what caused the death of the boy. Police officials said no suicide note was recovered.

Further investigation is going on.
