Alwar: Assistant Sub-Inspector Kalyan Prasad dies in road accident

Jaipur: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) identified as Kalyan Prasad died and his driver got seriously injured after a truck crashed into their vehicle near Behror city in the Alwar district of Rajasthan on Saturday.
The incident occurred at National Highway – 8 (NH8) in the Paniyala police station range on Saturday morning.
Police rushed to the spot after getting the information.
Officers rushed the injured driver to a nearby hospital and took ASI Kalyan’s body to the mortuary. The driver is undergoing treatment at Kailash hospital of the district.
The incident led to a heavy traffic jam on the highway which was cleared by the police team after a few hours.
According to the police, ASI Kalyan Singh and his driver were heading towards Sikar to escort some army jawans from their training. Suddenly, a truck lost its balance due to over speed on NH-8 and crashed into the police’s vehicle.
The intensity of the accident was too high that ASI Kalyan died on the spot and his driver got seriously injured. The accused tanker driver managed to flee away from the spot.
Police officials caught the driver at a checkpoint after few hours. He has been booked under various sections of rash and negligent driving and soon be produced in front of the court. Further investigation is on, said a police officer.
The family members of the deceased ASI were informed and the body was handed over to them after the post mortem examination.
