Jaipur: Former president of Ajmer Bar Association Rajesh Tondon appeared before a team of Ajmer police in connection with his alleged social media post against a lady woman IAS officer. The case is being investigated by circle officer (CO) Dr Priyanka Raghuvanshi. Source said that he brought with a copy of the Rajasthan high court order that directed the police not to take any ‘action’ against him, while allowed them to initiate an investigation.
Sources said that Tondon was asked several questions related to the post. The cops may ask him to appear again for the questioning, they added.

Without taking their name, Tondon allegedly referred to a video clip and then advised male administrative officials to stay away from these women officers. Four of these officers posted in Ajmer registered FIRs against Tondon with Kotwali and Civil Lines police stations.
It was for the first time after the FIR was registered against him that Tondon appeared before the police for questioning. H was served a notice under section 41 of CrPC. Earlier, the police claimed that he was not making himself available for the probe. Meanwhile, Tonodon filed a petition in the Rajasthan high court.
Tondon told media persons that he would cooperate with the police in their investigation and appear for questioning whenever summoned. The petition will come up for hearing in the high court on March 18.
