Jaipur: The students will apply for admission in the Rajasthan University colleges from Friday. In the first round, the application for admission to undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and science will be accepted. The process for admission to certificate courses and diploma courses will be also begin on Friday. The last date for the first round of admissions is July 7.
The colleges that will start accepting admission applications include Maharani College, Maharaja College, Commerce College and Rajasthan College. The CBSE results are yet to be announced, so only RBSE students will be able to participate in the application process. If the CBSE results are not announced by July, the last date will be extended, RU officials said.
“All preparations for the admission process to begin have been made. We will start accepting applications from RBSE students on Friday. The CBSE students can apply after their results are announced,” said an RU officer.
The admissions will be based on the percentile formula. RBSE students have benefited from this formula as they usually score fewer number of marks in the exam. Despite the high percentage of CBSE students, they did not get admission after the percentile formula was made applicable. Even with the low percentage of RBSE students, they were getting admission.
