Adhaar cards to be prepared at all JMC zonal offices in Jaipur

Jaipur: Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is setting up Adhaar Card centers at its all eight zonal offices in Jaipur to make it convenient for people to apply for Adhaar card enrollment.
In the first phase, Adhaar Card centers are being opened at Vidhyadhar Nagar, Hawa Mahal (West) and Mansarovar zones of Jaipur Nagar Nigam. The facility will be rolled out in the remaining five zones in the second phase.
The government had banned private Adhaar Cards centers last month after receiving complaints that they were charging a hefty amount of money from people. The cards were being prepared only at JMC headquarters, GPO and Lok Mitra since then.
“The lack of Addhar Card centers was causing long queues and people had to wait for hours. Keeping in mind this problem, JMC is opening centers in all Nagar Nigam zonal headquarters. People wouldn’t have to come to JMC headquarters for Adhaar Cards. They can visit the nearest zonal office now,” said Nodal Officer Dr Hansraj Yadav.
