Actor and MP Ravi Kishan dances to viral steps with students at Poornima’s ‘Pehla Kadam’

Jaipur: Actor and Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan performed viral social media dance steps with students of the Poornima Group of Colleges on Tuesday, turning the institution’s orientation programme “Pehla Kadam” into a long, informal interaction of photographs, songs and questions.

Ravi Kishan opened his address from the stage with “Khamma Ghani” before speaking directly to the first-year students. The country has produced many good engineers, he told them, but they were the engineers of the AI era and should aim to be better still and contribute to a developed India. He urged them never to be discouraged in life and never to give up.

He said it was due to Mahadev’s grace that he was receiving so much love from Jain ji, which had made him viral on social media in recent days. This was his first event since those discussions, he said, and he was enjoying himself in Jaipur. Responding to a question from the audience, the actor said he follows his heart over his mind, but gives his mind priority in his work.

Turning to social media, he advised the students not to let trolling affect them. “I too am trolled many times, so now I don’t read comments on my posts,” he said.

Recalling his years of struggle, Ravi Kishan said: “No one helped me in times of need, so I entered politics with the thought that I would help people. I do acting for my hobby, while I do politics selflessly.” He performed viral steps from social media in his own style during the programme, drawing students onto the floor with him.

Earlier, IAS Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan, Director General, Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sansthan, inaugurated the orientation programme as chief guest, with Dr. Rohit Verma, Founder, Frubon, as Guest of Honour. Rahul Singhi, Managing Director of the Poornima Group, encouraged the students to build a strong academic foundation in their first year and to take an active part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
