Accident in Kardhani: Student dies after being hit by water tanker

Jaipur: A 17-year-old teenager, identified as Ripudaman, died when the bike he was riding on was hit by a water tanker at 206 Bigha in Kardhani area on Sunday. Ripudaman was returning home after playing cricket with his friends. Ripudaman had recently cleared Class 12 exam and the family members were planning to throw a big party on his birthday on June 29. The police arrested the water tanker driver who was caught by the local residents after the accident.

Ripudaman who originally hailed from Thoi village in Sikar district, lived in Sunrise City. He regularly went to 206 Bigha to play cricket with his friends. He was returning home on Sunday morning when a water tanker hit his bike.
Nearly residents rushed him to Kanwatia Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

“The local residents had caught hold of the driver. He was handed over to the police after the mishap. An FIR has been registered against him for rash and negligent driving. The body has been handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination. Further investigation is going on,” said a police officer.

Ripudaman’s father Kishore Swami is in the army and currently posted at Roorkee.

He was to join a college, so the family members were planning to organize a special celebration on his birthday on June 29, said a relative.
