Accident in Dausa: Narrow escape for Raj cabinet minister Vishvendra Singh

Jaipur: Rajasthan cabinet minister Vishvendra Singh had a narrow escape on Tuesday after a truck rammed into his car near Collectorate Junction in Dausa. The rear part of the car was badly damaged, but Vishvendra Singh escaped unhurt. The minister was on his way to Jaipur from Bharatpur when the road accident occurred. The police have ruled out any foul play. An investigation has been launched.

According to preliminary reports, Vishvendra Singh was in his official car. He was in the passenger seat in the back while his driver was driving the vehicle. Near Collectorate Junction in Dausa, an overspeeding truck rammed into the car. The car was about to lose balance, but the driver somehow controlled it. The rear part of the car was damaged and one of tyres was also burst.

“The minister has sustained no injuries in the mishap. He was on his way to Jaipur from Bharatpur. He left for Jaipur in a police vehicle,” said a police officer.

Vishvendra Singh was coming to Jaipur to visit Rajasthan assembly speaker CP Joshi who is currently admitted to SMS Hospital for treatment.

In a tweet, Vishvendra Singh said that he was safe and was thankful to his supporters.

“There is no need for worry. I am safe. Thank you for your good wishes,” the minister tweeted.
