ACB: SHO arrested for taking bribe of Rs 20,000 in Baran
According to ACB officials, the agency received a complaint against the SHO Satya Narayan Singh. The driver was asked to pay Rs 20,000 by SHO to get his tractor seized by the police released.

Jaipur: Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kota arrested SHO of Seeswali police station in Baran district Satya Narayan Singh after he was allegedly caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
The sub inspector was demanding the bribe from a driver in order to release his tractor filled with Bajri (gravel) on Thursday, ACB officials said. SHO was also demanding a monthly payment for allowing gravel trucks to pass through his area.
According to ACB officials, the agency received a complaint against the SHO Satya Narayan Singh. The driver was asked to pay Rs 20,000 by SHO to get his tractor seized by the police released.
The truck driver approached the ACB following which a complaint was registered against Satya Narayan Singh.
After the ACB verified the complaint and found it to be genuine, a trap was laid under the supervision of ACB officer Prerna Shekhawat. The SHO was arrested after he was caught red-handed accepting the bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant truck driver.
The ACB have booked him under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and will produce him in a court.
The ACB officer said that further investigation is going on and searches are being conducted at the office, residence and other places belonging to the SHO.
