The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau on Sunday filed a chargesheet against 10 accused in the Jal Jeevan Mission corruption case, while a court granted two-day police remand of retired IAS officer Subodh Agrawal in the same investigation.
The chargesheet in case number 245/2024 was presented before the court against officials who were arrested by the ACB and are currently in judicial custody. The 10 accused are Dinesh Goyal, presently Chief Engineer (Administration); K.D. Gupta, then Chief Engineer (Rural); Subhanshu Dixit, then Secretary of RWSSMB and subsequently Additional Chief Engineer for Jaipur Zone-II; Sushil Sharma, then Financial Advisor in the Renewable Energy department; Niril Kumar, then Chief Engineer in Churu; Vishal Saxena, an Executive Engineer who was subsequently suspended; Arun Srivastava, Additional Chief Engineer, now retired; D.K. Gaur, then Chief Engineer and Technical Member, now retired; Mahendra Prakash Soni, then Superintending Engineer, now retired; and Mukesh Pathak, a private individual.
The ACB said it is preparing a prosecution sanction report to be forwarded to the department concerned, and that investigation against other individuals linked to the case is continuing.
Separately, standing warrants have been issued against three other accused — Executive Engineer Jitendra Sharma, Superintending Engineer Mukesh Goyal, and private individual Sanjeev Gupta — who remain at large. The bureau said its teams are conducting raids at various locations to serve the warrants. Property details of the three have already been submitted to the court, and attachment proceedings will follow.
On the same day, retired IAS officer Subodh Agrawal was produced before the court seeking police custody. After hearing investigation officer Mahavir Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police, the court granted a two-day police remand of Agrawal.
The ACB noted that 11 writ petitions related to the case are pending before the Rajasthan High Court, with the next hearing scheduled for 21 April 2026.
