ACB conducts searches at PWD XEn RP Meena’s house; registers case for disproportionate wealth

Jaipur: The Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) registered a case against Executive engineer (XEn, electrical) of Public Works Department – Rajendra Prasad Meena – after it was allegedly found that he had amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. Five ACB teams carried out searches at five places belonging to Rajendra Prasad (RP)  Meena on Friday.

According to an ACB release, the searches were carried out under the supervision of Add SP, ACB Chanchal Mishra.

The ACB teams found 2.25 lakh cash, FDs worth Rs 20 lakh during the searches and 633 Singapore dollars. Meena allegedly owns a three-storey building in Vivek Vihar, a residential building in Vidhansabha Nagar and four residential plots in the city. He also owns a commercial showroom in Gajsingh Pura in Gopalpura Bypass area and another one in New Aatish Market.

“We found six life insurance policy documents, 12 bank accounts, 2 PPF accounts and documents suggesting that he maintained a locker. The bank accounts and lockers are under security,” said ACB DG Alok Tripathi.

The ACB team was carrying out searches at RP Meena’s house in Vivek Vihar Sodala till the reports last came in.

“The searches are being monitored by ADG Saurabh Srivastava and SP Sharad Choudhary. We have registered a case. Further investigation is going on,” said the officer.
