ACB arrests 3 including school principal and his wife for taking bribe in Dausa

The Jaipur branch of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested one school principal Chhutthanlal Meena, his wife Sugar Bai and his tenant Ramratan in Dosa district on Monday after they were allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

Jaipur: The Jaipur branch of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested one school principal Chhutthanlal Meena, his wife Sugar Bai and his tenant Ramratan in Dosa district on Monday after they were allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

The accused Chutthanlal Meena is the principal of state senior secondary school at Ralawata in Dausa district. The ACB officials recovered Rs 20,000 from the three accused persons. Chhutthanlal took the bribe amount of Rs 5000 earlier at the time of verification.

The investigation is going under the supervision of ACB l ASP Narottam Verma. He told the media persons that the agency received a complaint against the school principal Chhuthhanlal Singh from the complainant Ramkesh, who is a local contractor at Ralawata.

Ramkesh built school premises at Ralawata and the accused principal asked him for the bribe of Rs 30,000 for clearing the bill of Rs 8.50 lakh. The deal was finally fixed for Rs 25,000.

The contractor approached the ACB following which a complaint was registered against the school principal Chhuthhanlal Singh. After the ACB verified the complaint and found it to be genuine, a trap was laid.

It was later revealed that the accused principal used to forward the bribe money to his wife through his tenant Ramratan.

The ACB have booked them under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and will produce them in a court.
