Jaipur: The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams laid a total of 62 traps in 70 days since the state assembly elections.
The teams arrested around 85 officials and employees on corruption charges after they were caught accepting bribe ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 75 lakh. ACB investigated four major corruption cases in three months.
The number of traps in 70 days is more than the total traps in two years prior to the assembly elections.
Officials said that the increase in traps will instill fear in corrupt government officials and employees.
ACB DG Alok Tripathi constituted several teams after joining ACB as DG on July 20 last year. He was posted as ADG in ACB earlier.
The state government then transferred ADG Saurabh Srivastav and IG Dinesh MN to ACB after state assembly elections 2018.
