6 of family die in road accident in Alwar

Jaipur: Six members of a family were killed when the passenger vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck on Gurugram-Alwar National Highway (248A). The victims include wives of three brothers, two children and their aunt-in-law. Two victims are undergoing treatment at a hospital and their condition is stated to be serious.
The incident took place near Kulawat village in Bhiwadi area of Alwar district late on Sunday. The victims were identified as Zannati, Zamshida, Mumtaz, Tabassum, Anas, and Sifrana. They were a resident of Kulawat village and were on their way to a village in Haryana to visit an ailing relative. They were in a tempo vehicle. A truck collided with their vehicle near a petrol pump. Three of the victims died on the spot, while three others succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
“Two are still undergoing treatment. Their condition is critical,” said a police officer.
The family members of the victims were inconsolable. The villagers were also shocked when six bodies arrived in the village after a post mortem examination. The last rites were held on Monday. The police have booked the truck driver for rash and negligent driving. Further investigation is going on.
