6 highlights of DigiFest 2022 to know before you go

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government is organizing DigiFest, a two-day event to promote youths in the field of technology and entrepreneurship – at Birla Auditorium on August 19 and 20.
Akhil Arora, principal secretary, finance said that the objective of DigiFest 2022 is to bring together youth, startups, investors, corporates, partners and academia and facilitate interaction and collaboration with the government and the public at large.
Arora shared with media persons five main highlights of the event that has brought attention to the government’s efforts to nurture the start-up ecosystem in the state:
Start-up Expo
This is the biggest exhibition of products and services by start-ups of the state on a common platform. As many as 45 iStart accredited start-ups, representing various universities and ATLs from across the state will showcase products and services. All these start-ups are getting the facility of their interaction and pitch in front of government officials for direct purchase of products and services. Some of the start-ups participating in the Start-up Expo are:

- WOLOOKA Technologis. Pvt. Ltd.
- MYERA
- LUGBEE
Start-up Bazaar
In the Start-up Bazaar, 30 start-ups from product-based urban and rural areas are being given an opportunity to showcase and sell their products. These start-ups include:
- ACL Foods
- Going Zero
- Eatorgo
- Thelagadi Private Limited
- Gatrim Herbonatural Biosciences OPC Pvt- Ltd-
Roundtable conferences
Various industry bodies, shareholders and supporters of the start-up ecosystem have been invited to organize and participate in the discussions.
Speakers from civil society have also been invited to help understand the essential impact on service delivery to the end user.
With various mode of discussions including power talks, fireside chats, panel discussions and various knowledge sessions, the government will get direct feedback from the invited speakers. These will also help build relationships for start-ups and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem.
iStart School Student Fest
To promote youth entrepreneurship in the state, the state government is organizing school-level Start-up Fest in Digi Fest where over 3000 students from more than 50 schools of Rajasthan are invited to participate in B Quiz, Ed-MAD competition and attend pitching sessions. The reason behind this event is to make the young students of the state aware of the ecosystem.
On this occasion, 51 students of the division and district level are being rewarded for the School Innovation Challenge under the School Start-up Program. In addition, 23 students are being rewarded under the Rural iStart program.
Start-up funding by the government
Under the Rajasthan Start-up Policy 2015, the Appraisal Committee for Start-ups and the State Level Implementation Committee have appraised and approved funding for 67 Startups with a total funding value of about Rs.4.41 crore. In this event, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will announce and felicitate all these 67 beneficiaries.
The IT-driven processes across the world have witnessed a radical change from the earliest times till now. In this perspective, similar changes have been made from time to time in Rajasthan to provide efficient, effective and transparent services to the common man.
