5 Pak citizens held in Sriganganagar

The suspects including three women are from Meghwal community and had come to India on a pilgrimage to Hardwar. They were staying at a relative’s house in 5 MLD village situated on India-Pakistan border.

Jaipur: Five Pakistan residents were taken into custody in Anupgarh town of Sriganganagar district on Saturday. The suspects including three women are from Meghwal community and had come to India on a pilgrimage to Hardwar. They were staying at a relative’s house in 5 MLD village situated on India-Pakistan border.

According to preliminary reports, the five persons had come to Anupgarh town in an auto. They were having tea outside a shop when a BSF team reached there and started questioning him on suspicion. The team asked them about their credentials and then took them into custody.

Sources said that the five persons are being interrogated by BSF and intelligence agencies. They are ascertaining if the five suspects have required permission to stay in a border village. They have told the interrogators that they were from Hindu family and had come to India on a pilgrimage. They were to leave for Hardwar.
