3rd grade teachers in Rajasthan to be appointed in education department in 3 years

Jaipur: The Rajasthan state cabinet on Thursday decided to give relaxation to 3^rd grade teachers in Panchayati Raj Department for their appointment in the school education department. The teachers who have three years experience can now be appointed in the school education department. The minimum experience requirement was earlier 5 years.

It was a much-awaited relief. Grade – 3 teachers in Rajasthan have been demanding that they be appointed in school education department for a long time.

Briefing the media person after cabinet meeting on Thursday, PWD minister Yunus Khan said the cabinet decided to amend the Rajasthan Education Subordinate Service Rules-1971 to reduce the minimum requirement of 5 years experience to 3 years as third grade teacher with Panchayati Raj department for appointment under transfer in the school education department. This decision would affect about 42,249 third teachers.

All association of teachers welcomed the decision.
