28-year-old Mumbai woman commits suicide in Jaipur hotel

Jaipur: A 28-year-old woman identified as Miraz Khatoon committed suicide by hanging herself at her hotel room near Jalupura area of the city on Monday. She made a video call to her friend (man) living abroad before committing suicide, said police. No suicide note has been recovered. The reason for her taking the extreme step is yet uncertain.
The incident took place at Hotel Kuber Palace located on Sansar Chandra Road near Jalupura.
Police rushed to the spot after getting the information of the incident. They took the body of the woman to a hospital where the doctors declared her dead upon the arrival. Her body was kept in the hospital’s mortuary and handed over to the family members after a post mortem examination on Monday.

According to the police, Miraz and Randheer separated a few months ago. Miraz was in contact with a man living abroad since then.
She was staying in Jaipur for the past four days at Hotel Kuber Palace. She video called a man before hanging herself to death, added police.
The hotel staff knocked on her door and when there was no response, they broke the door open and found the woman hanging from the ceiling on Monday morning.
Police are recording the statements of the woman’s family members, her ex-boyfriend, and relatives. They are trying to track the man’s identity whom she called before committing suicide.
