247 assistant professors to be recruited in engineering colleges in Rajasthan
In order to improve the quality of education, the central government will recruit 1270 assistant professors for engineering colleges in the country. Of them, Rajasthan will get 247 assistant professors on contractual basis.

Jaipur: In order to improve the quality of education, the central government will recruit 1270 assistant professors for engineering colleges in the country. Of them, Rajasthan will get 247 assistant professors on contractual basis.
The appointments are being made under the Technical Education Quality Improvement scheme. The Center will spend nearly Rs 320 crore over the next three years.
These assistant professors would be appointed on a contractual basis for three years with a salary of Rs 70,000.
Rajasthan’s engineering colleges will get the lion’s share with 247 assistant professors to be recruited followed by Madhya Pradesh (208), Bihar (206), Jharkhand (201) and Uttarakhand (119).
As many as 49 assistant professors will be recruited for engineering colleges in Jodhpur, 36 for Ajmer, 35 for Bharatpur, 30 for Ajmer, 26 for Bikaner, 23 for Bhilwara, 22 for Banswara, 17 for Udaipur and 09 for Jhalawar.
