24-year-old engineer falls off balcony while speaking over mobile phone, dies

Jaipur: A 24-year-old man, identified as Sanjay Yadav, fell off the balcony of his rented flat on the second floor of a building in Jyoti Nagar early on Wednesday. The man, who worked at a telecom company at Chomu House Circle, was speaking to his wife over mobile phone and was under the influence of alcohol. He sustained serious head injuries and died while undergoing treatment.
Yadav was a resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and lived in a rented flat in Jyoti Nagar’s Ganesh Colony.
He had a party at the flat to celebrate the birthday anniversary of his friend.
Sanjay worked in Punjab and moved to Jaipur nearly three months ago.
After he fell off the balcony, the landlord informed the police.
“He spoke to his wife around 1.50 am on Wednesday. He fell off while speaking to her,” said a police officer.
The police have the body in the mortuary of SMS Hospital for a postmortem examination. It will be conducted in the presence of his family members.
