202 fresh COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan, highest in a day

Jaipur: Rajasthan reported 202 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, the highest in a day. Jaipur reported 61 cases followed by Udaipur (33), Pali (27), Jalore (28), Jodhpur (8) and Kota (5). The total case count has gone up to 4328 in Rajasthan. The virus claimed four more lives on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 121. The number of active coronavirus cases have also gone up to 1699 in the state.
In Jaipur, the authorities were concerned as five cases were reported from the district jail. Five another cases were reported in Swami Basti, nine in Ramganj, four in Chandpole, three in Meena Para, four in Shashtri Nagar, two each in Mandi Khatikan and Purani Basti and one each in Gokulpura, Durgapura, Vishvakarma, Madhav Nagar, Kotputali, Kunda Chauraha, Govind Nagar, Amer Road, Krishna Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Batheri Bassi, Jawahar Nagar, MI Road, Chandi Ki Taksal, JK Lon Hospital, RD Hospital, Luniyawas, Jagatpura, Bhatta Basti, Brahmapuri, Panch Batti, Khatipura, Ambedkar Nagar, Sodala Mehnat Nagar and Dushad Nagar.
In Jaipur, Ramganj and the Walled City area wore a deserted look on Wednesday, 12 years after serial blasts rocked the city on May 13, 2008.
The local residents said the panic today was even greater than it was on the day of the serial blasts.
The police force paid homage to the cops who were killed in the serial blasts incident on Wednesday. The senior police officers were wearing masks and maintained social distancing while offering garlands on the photos of the policemen who were killed in the blast.
