17 tourism department hotels and midways in Rajasthan to be sold by March 31

Jaipur: The department of tourism, Rajasthan will sell 17 government hotels and midways, some of which are heritage properties, by March 31 to reduce financial losses.
The officials are learnt to have secured permission for the same from the country’s tourism department. The properties include the RTDC hotel at Jaipur’s Khasa Kothi Circle and Udaipur’s Anand Mahal.
Hotels and midways are situated in Jaipur, Udaipur, Alwar’s Behror, Dausa, Mahuwa Shahpura, Talvriksha, Rishabdev, Ratangarh, Dewali, Pindwara, Gulabpura, Nathdwara, Mandawa, Pushkar, and Manahera.
The tourism department has sped up the process for selling the properties after getting a nod from Delhi, sources said.

Instead of improving the quality of services and the condition of the properties and marketing them properly, the tourism department has decided to sell them off.
The department has suffered huge financial losses due to vacancies in these hotels.
The department is now planning to sell them before March 31.
