1 killed, 3 injured as truck overturns on bikes on Jaipur-Ajmer highway

JAIPUR: An overturning trailer trapped four individuals riding on two motorcycles on the Jaipur-Ajmer national highway late on Friday. One person lost their life at the scene, while three others sustained severe injuries. A male and a female on another motorcycle suffered minor injuries. The accident resulted in spilled animal feed pellets on the road, causing a traffic jam.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the Bagru Police Station rushed to the scene. With the assistance of local villagers, they rescued the trapped motorcycle riders from beneath the debris and transported them to the hospital in an ambulance. One of the motorcycle riders succumbed to injuries, and the body was taken to the mortuary.

Using two cranes, authorities successfully removed the overturned trailer from the accident site, allowing traffic to resume its normal flow.

The Bagru Circle Inspector, Harishchandra Solanki, said that the trailer was carrying animal feed pellets and was heading towards Ajmer.

While crossing the road near the Thane crossing, it lost control and overturned, causing the accident. Three individuals suffered severe injuries in their attempts to save a motorcyclist near the scene. The accident led to a significant traffic jam on the highway, prompting the police to divert traffic and restore normalcy using two cranes.
